Travel assignment in an inpatient care setting
Responsibilities
Provide full scope cardiopulmonary services to pediatric through adult patients as needed
Assess, implement, and monitor respiratory therapies per physician orders
Operate, troubleshoot, and manage ventilators; assist with airway management and CPR as required
Perform ABG procurement and analysis; collect RSV and AFB samples when indicated
Conduct chest physiotherapy, patient suctioning, and administer or prepare respiratory medications per protocol
Accurately document therapies and responses; communicate findings and plan with physicians and the care team; preserve patient rights and dignity
Requirements
Education: Graduate of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program with an AS degree, approved by the National Board for Respiratory Care
Certification/Licensure: NBRC credentials (CRTT, CRT, RT, or RRT); BLS required; ACLS and PALS certifications strongly encouraged
Experience: Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in respiratory treatment of hospital patients
Skills: Ability to read and interpret physician orders, technical manuals, and hospital/department policies; effective written and verbal communication; accurate therapy documentation
Licensure/Eligibility: Eligible to practice in the listed location; ability to work in an inpatient care environment
