Responsibilities
Provide quality respiratory care to patients of all ages in inpatient and outpatient settings under the direction of the Respiratory Director and Medical Director.
Deliver therapy services and testing within the scope of Cardiopulmonary Services and licensure guidelines in the State of Maine.
Manage adult, pediatric, and neonatal mechanical ventilation; operate BiPAP/CPAP; perform EKGs, PFTs, and cardiac stress testing; interpret basic cardiac arrhythmias.
Participate in in‑service training and continuing education to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
Complete thorough documentation, coordinate with the care team, and respond to on‑call needs as assigned.
Requirements
Current Maine Respiratory Care Practitioners License (RCP) in good standing.
NBRC CRT or RRT credential, or eligible to sit for the RRT exam within one year of start date.
Graduate of a CoARC‑accredited Respiratory Care Education program with CRT or RRT credential as recognized by NBRC.
At least 2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates may be considered.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is optional.
Demonstrated ability to perform respiratory care procedures and manage adult, pediatric, and neonatal ventilation, BiPAP/CPAP, EKGs, PFTs, and basic cardiac rhythm interpretation.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced inpatient/outpatient setting and participate in on‑call duties.
