Responsibilities include evaluating, developing, and executing plans of care for diverse patient populations in the acute care setting. Specific duties are:
Oversee and supervise PTAs and therapy technicians
Bill appropriately following facility guidelines
Comply with state PT board rules and regulations
Collaborate with medical center staff and physicians for team‑focused care
Select and utilize adaptive equipment
Assess patients and develop individualized plans of care
Modify plans as patient conditions change
Use medical center computer systems for daily tasks
Provide timely and accurate documentation per state and insurance guidelines
Qualifications:
Minimum 6 months clinical experience (new graduates encouraged); 1 year required unless exceptional
Licensed Physical Therapist in the applicable state
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
ABPTS examination completion (2 years, additional certifications may be required)
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
Compensation is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax‑free stipend pending confirmation.
