Description
The Medical Assistant (MA II) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA II performs all aspects of the Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Responsibilities

Assist in providing patient care to assigned patients.

Perform all clinical duties of an Associate Medical Assistant.

Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited medical assistant school with hands‑on clinical training, or

Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or

Completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or

Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes vital signs, injections, and medication administration.

Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification.

Six months of healthcare experience.

Six months of medical assistant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

Pay Range
Base pay range is $24.26 – $37.11 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, and bonus opportunities.
