Job Description
At NorthBay Health, the Patient Services Representative II performs moderate front office duties including reception, registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and medical records management. The position exercises judgment within defined guidelines and functions as part of a clerical and customer‑service team supporting Ambulatory Division medical practices.

Qualifications

Education: Preference for some college coursework in business or computers; medical terminology coursework preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Current AHA or equivalent BLS certification required.

Experience: Two years of customer engagement or service‑centered role required. Experience in healthcare environments—medical record processes, appointment scheduling, referrals, authorizations, registration, and back‑office clinical support—is preferred.

Skills: Excellent customer service, oral and written communication, ability to manage multiple priorities, and working knowledge of insurance types (Medi-Cal, Medicare, Managed Care, Indemnity, Workers Compensation). Understanding of the impact of registration accuracy on claims processing and patient care, organizational processes and procedures, and NorthBay Health’s clinical computer systems.

Compensation
Hourly salary range: $26.92–$31.16 (based on experience).
