Job Overview
Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the RN Navigator coordinates cancer patient care and acts as a patient advocate. Responsibilities include monitoring patients through screening and diagnostic evaluation, assisting them with navigation through healthcare systems, providing education and emotional care supportive to or restorative of life and well‑being, and identification and support in developing programs and services to enhance patient care. The RN Navigator also provides education for general surgery patients.
Required Qualifications
California Registered Nurse License
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association
3 years clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
3 years outpatient experience in a healthcare setting
Oncology experience
