Navigator RN - Cancer Center

Overview

Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the RN Navigator coordinates cancer patient care and acts as a patient advocate. This includes monitoring patients through screening/diagnostic evaluation, assisting them with navigation through healthcare systems, providing education and emotional care supportive to or restorative of life and well‑being, and identification and support in the development of programs and services to enhance patient care and support. The RN Navigator also provides education for general surgery patients.
Qualifications

California Registered Nurse License (upon hire)
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association (upon hire)
3 years clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred)
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) (upon hire, preferred)
3 years outpatient experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
Oncology experience (required)
