Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner is responsible to practice medicine within the scope of licensure, training and credentialing according to current standards of care, Medicare guidelines, Joint Commission standards, state law and quality criteria adopted by the hospital.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program with a C.N.P. Degree
Current License as an N.P. in the State of Tennessee
BLS, ACLS required
Orthopedic or Neurosurgeon required
Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit
Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Broad understanding of needs of the surgical patient
Flexible, reliable, productive, patient‑oriented, self‑motivated
Remains calm and functions as a team leader during times of stress and crisis situations
