Description
Operates machinery such as grinders, band saws, etc.
Loads metal parts/tubing into fixtures
Ensures proper fitment of parts
Tack welds parts together
MIG & TIG welds parts under supervision of more experienced welders
Stages jobs for Welder II’s and III’s
Assists Welder II & III as needed
Other duties as assigned.
Reads blueprints/drawings
Takes/reads measurements
Aligns parts using calipers, rulers, clamps, etc.
Requirements
1 – 2 years of MIG & TIG welding experience
Experience using saws, welder machines, tools, etc.
Knowledge of PPE (face shields, welder helmets, gloves, steel toes, curtains, etc)
Must have a commitment to excellent quality standards.
Must have a commitment to Safety.
Must be able to read and speak English fluently.
Must possess a helpful, friendly & positive attitude.
High School diploma/ GED required
Experience welding stainless steel is a plus
Welding Certification Program (AWS) is a plus
Other Details
Periodic lifting (up to 50lbs.)
Sustained periods of standing
