Qualifications
ASN or Nursing Diploma
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficient computer skills
Preferred
2 years ED/PEDS ED experience and/or other relevant nursing experience
Med./Surg. Telemetry
CEN
Certifications and Licenses Required
BLS upon hire and ACLS within 6 months of start date
Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
Scheduling Requirements
Evening shift – 36 hours per week
Monday‑Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation
Essential Functions
The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
Assures safety in practice and incorporates evidence‑based principles by maintaining a realisation of own knowledge and experience, and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others in the patient care team through communication and use of resource persons and programs available.
Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
Is responsible for knowledge of the patient population served.
Supervises and directs delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
Consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
Acts as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualises the plan of care for specific patients.
