Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Staten Island, NY, for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist. The Speech Language Pathologist will assess and treat children with speech, language, and communication disorders through evidence-based practices while working collaboratively with families and other team members. Daily responsibilities include creating and implementing individualized treatment plans, performing speech and language evaluations, documenting progress, and using the sensory gym to enhance therapeutic outcomes. The candidate will work closely with other therapy disciplines to achieve the best results for each patient.
Qualifications
Proficiency and experience in Speech Therapy, including assessment, diagnosis, and intervention techniques.
Knowledge and experience in addressing Communication Disorders, Language Disorders, and associated challenges.
Skills in managing and treating Dysphagia with appropriate therapeutic interventions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Active licensure in Speech-Language Pathology in New York State (or ability to obtain licensure before start date).
Relevant certifications, such as ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, are preferred.
Experience working with pediatric populations and a strong passion for helping children achieve developmental goals.
