Machine Operator/Setup Operator
Erodex is an independent family‑owned precision engineering company with over 40 years of experience in precision graphite tooling and the aerospace sector. The role is to be a member of the team at our new precision manufacturing subsidiary, where Erodex has established a new graphite machining facility to support its recent acquisition of a seven‑figure 3‑year contract to a leading aerospace OEM.
Responsibilities
Running CNC machining centres using proven processes
Carry out batch inspection and prepare goods for shipment
Work with senior engineer to develop and improve on‑site process
Liaise with UK office to provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience as a setter/operator using 3‑ and/or axis CNC machines
Experience on 3‑ and/or 5‑axis control interfaces such as Haas, Hurco, and Fanuc
Ability to understand and troubleshoot G Code
Able to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances
Good organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple jobs at once
CAD/CAM skills are a plus but not a necessity
