Job Description
JSL Technologies, Inc. is seeking a qualified General Maintenance & Repair Worker to support Civil Engineering Equipment (CEE) and facility maintenance operations at the Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC), Cheatham Annex.
This is a contingent hire, pending contract award.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum five (5) years of experience as a maintenance and repair worker
Other Requirements:
Valid U.S. driver's license
Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
Must be a U.S. citizen
Ability to pass background investigation
Must complete required DoD/BUMED IT security training
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
General Maintenance:
Perform general maintenance and repair tasks on facilities, equipment, and systems
Conduct minor repairs to buildings, fixtures, and equipment
Perform basic plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks
Maintain and repair doors, windows, walls, floors, and ceilings
Replace or repair broken or damaged hardware and fixtures
CEE Support:
Support maintenance of Civil Engineering Equipment (CEE) including shelters, containers, and related equipment
Perform cleaning and preservation of equipment
Assist with assembly and disassembly of equipment
Support preparation of equipment for storage or shipment
Equipment Repairs:
Perform repairs and alterations including spot paintings, gasket/seal replacement, dent repair, blind rivet replacement, and sealant removal/replacement
Support rebuilds and rehabilitations of equipment
Replace or install components, assemblies, and subassemblies
Perform basic machining and welding as required
Documentation:
Generate Equipment Repair Orders (EROs) for annotating equipment discrepancies
Enter maintenance actions into DMLSS or other government databases as directed
Maintain equipment history jackets
Document worker time on equipment within each work order
Safety & Compliance:
Comply with all fire, security, and safety regulations (OSHA, CFR)
Report accidents/mishaps and property damage to COR/ACOR immediately
Maintain required training and certifications
Required Skills and Competencies
Ability to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across multiple trades
Ability to read, interpret, and apply reference materials such as manufacturer manuals, regulations, catalogs, records, and orders
Ability to read and speak the English language with correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format
Proficiency in US standard office equipment (computers, copiers, fax machines, telephone systems)
Strong ethical principles and customer service skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
Light to moderate physical effort required
Walking, standing, reaching, bending, and moving items
Lifting and carrying items over 45 lbs
Work is performed on hard surfaces
Security Clearance
Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD Government-granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
