Unit: Cardiac Stepdown (33 beds) – cardiac telemetry unit
Patient Ratio: 1:4
Shift: 12-hour days (6:00am – 6:00pm)
Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 4/23/2026 – End: 7/23/2026)

Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to cardiac stepdown/telemetry patients, including cardiac monitoring and ongoing assessment
Monitor telemetry strips, recognize arrhythmias, and elevate changes appropriately
Administer cardiac medications and treatments as prescribed (including IV meds, antiarrhythmics, and titratable drips as applicable)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, respiratory therapy, case management) to develop and implement individualized care plans
Document patient assessments, interventions and responses accurately and in a timely manner
Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, discharge plans and recovery processes
Maintain a safe, high-quality and supportive environment for patients and staff
Job Requirements / Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma or compact RN license as required
Minimum 1 year recent experience in a cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or progressive care unit (PCU)
BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
ACLS certification preferred for cardiac nursing roles
Strong clinical assessment, EKG interpretation and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced cardiac care environment
