RQC is seeking experienced
Sheet Metal Workers/Installers
to join its Mechanical team for ongoing work at Hurlburt Field Air Force base in Okaloosa County, FL and Naval Air Station Pensacola, FL. All work is performed on the military base and is compensated according to the Davis‑Bacon prevailing wage specific to that location.
Since 1996, RQ, LLC has been a prominent leader in the commercial and government Design‑Build sector. The company now operates nationwide, managing projects from coast to coast with field teams stationed at each location. RQ specializes in fast‑track new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a strong emphasis on Department of Defense projects.
Sheet Metal Workers/Installers will handle the fabrication and installation of ductwork, air distribution systems, and HVAC equipment on active construction sites. Responsibilities include ensuring all work complies with applicable codes and involves the practical application of mechanical principles. Work must be completed using proper tools, equipment, and safety procedures in alignment with RQ's mission, vision, and values.
Per diem may be available for qualified candidates not local to the Pensacola region.
Benefits & Compensation
Pay Range: $25.00 - 49.00 per hour DOE
Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, one week of vacation, and sick time.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
At least 4 years (or equivalent) of field or trade experience as a journey‑level sheet metal worker in commercial or facilities operations (government, military, or large commercial/industrial construction experience preferred)
Experience working in high‑bay environments and with turning vanes preferred
Strong rigging experience preferred
Hoisting certifications preferred
Due to contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for access to SUBASE Kings Bay; other work authorizations cannot be considered for this role

Additionally, all candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to the job site at the military base (if applicable for the position being hired for).
