We're seeking a passionate and driven

Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

to join our

Orthopedic Surgery

team in

Livonia, Michigan . This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health of our community while working in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Opportunity Details
This position includes close collaboration with orthopedic surgeons and fellow APPs to deliver exceptional care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions in an inpatient setting. Responsibilities would include initial ED evaluation, treatment, and planning, assisting in the OR, and post-operative management (rounding), inpatient hospital consults.

Position Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)

Schedule: Mainly daytime M-F with minimal weekend coverage, 40 hours/week

Requirements

1-2 years of post-graduate experience, preferably in an orthopedic or surgical specialty

Requirement for NPs: AGACNP or ACNP

Demonstrated clinical judgment, procedural proficiency, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced orthopedic setting

Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and engagement

APPs: Board certified in specialty prior to employment

Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)

DEA license

BLS certification (must be maintained)/ ACLS/BLS certification (must be maintained)

Duties & Responsibilities
A typical day may include:

Providing direct patient care

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Participating in teaching and mentoring

Documenting in Epic EMR

Engaging in quality improvement initiatives

Supporting community health efforts
