A physician-led mobile wound care program serving Chicago and surrounding skilled nursing and post-acute facilities is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for a full-time autonomous bedside wound care role. This is a genuinely rare find — a Monday–Friday only position with no nights, no weekends, no on-call, all visits pre-scheduled one week in advance, and a clear certification pathway with salary incentives built in.
You’ll operate within an assigned geographic territory, delivering direct wound care at the bedside of patients in skilled nursing and assisted living settings — fully supported by a collaborative, family‑owned program that provides all tools, ongoing training, and an iPad and stylus for mobile documentation. No hospital stress, no unpredictable shifts, just focused, meaningful wound care work with strong total compensation.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver direct bedside wound care in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities
Perform physical exams, patient assessments, and comprehensive wound evaluations
Operate UltraMIST device and wound care documentation software (training provided)
Order and interpret diagnostics and manage individualized treatment plans
Collaborate with physicians and facility staff on ongoing wound care protocols
Provide patient and staff education on wound management
Document accurately via mobile EMR (iPad provided)
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Illinois NP license — board certified (board‑eligible not accepted)
AGACNP, AGPCNP, AGNP, ANP, or DNP credential
DEA license and prescriptive authority required
Minimum 1 year wound care, skilled nursing, or post‑acute care experience (LPN experience counts)
Comfort with mobile EMR and technology tools
Strong communication, HIPAA/OSHA familiarity, and autonomous practice mindset
Schedule & Compensation
$140,000–$150,000/year
All visits pre-scheduled one week in advance
Assigned geographic territory in Chicago metro area
