Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Equipment Tech, you will be a central figure responsible for the meticulous inspection, testing, maintenance, and distribution of various types of equipment, ensuring its optimal functionality, safety, and readiness for operational use. You will play a vital role in supporting departmental functions with reliable, properly functioning devices.

Every day, you will expertly troubleshoot, clean, and perform preventive maintenance on a wide array of equipment according to guidelines, identifying and rectifying malfunctions. You will also manage inventory, track usage, facilitate repairs, and collaborate with end-users to ensure timely delivery and proper utilization of devices, adhering strictly to safety and operational standards.

To be successful in this role, you will combine a strong mechanical and technical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail in equipment handling, and a keen understanding of device functionalities. You will demonstrate a proactive approach to troubleshooting and maintenance, possess excellent organizational skills, and thrive in a dynamic, hands‑on environment dedicated to ensuring high standards of equipment readiness and operational efficiency.

Delivers equipment to patient rooms or standby locations in patient‑ready condition with appropriate software, accessories, and disposables.

Confidently communicates with clinical staff on the topics of equipment features, functionality, etc.

Provides a quality service, performs to quality standards, and meets both customer and company metrics.

Picks up, cleans, and processes all equipment, preparing it for patient‑ready use following all company and hospital protocols.

Maintains and tracks all equipment ensuring:

Equipment tracking is complete and accurate—develops and maintains inventory of equipment/supplies

Supply/inventory levels are appropriate for demand

Facilitates the delivery of equipment to patients

Facilitates the retrieval of equipment

Cleaning of equipment

Ensures equipment is in working order and appropriate maintenance is completed by Biomed/vendors

Job Requirements

High School Graduate in General Studies and customer‑service experience, upon hire.

High School GED in General Studies and customer‑service experience, upon hire.

Basic Life Support – CPR, upon hire.

Preferred

Prior work experience in hospital setting.

Pay Range
$18.06 – $25.51 /hour
