Job Summary
EMCOR Government Services is seeking an Engineer in Washington, D.C. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99. #EGS
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible to his/her immediate supervisors for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance during his/her watch of all equipment, including all fired and unfired pressure vessels, vacuum systems, refrigeration and air conditioning machinery, and associated equipment such as cold storage spaces.
Perform duty tours of the building.
Participate in the on‑call rotation for after‑hour call‑ins.
Be available to work extended days or weekends if needed.
Familiar with BAS/Honeywell front‑end system and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
Perform all other duties assigned by the Chief Engineer.
Qualifications
At a minimum must have a DC 3rd class Steam Engineers License along with 5 years experience in facilities maintenance.
Physical Demands
Must lift heavy objects above 50 lbs. at times.
