Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Clerk of the Works for a large-scale, long-term construction project supporting a premier cultural institution in Virginia. This individual will act as the on-site eyes and ears for the owner, ensuring construction activities align with design intent, quality standards, and project expectations. The ideal candidate brings strong inspection experience, polished communication skills, and the ability to collaborate daily with contractors, architects, engineers, and state representatives on a high‑visibility, multi‑year project.

Skills and Requirements

Experience as a Clerk of the Works, Construction Inspector, or Owner’s Rep

Strong construction inspection background on large commercial or institutional projects

Ability to interface professionally with Contractors, A/E teams, State representatives, and facility stakeholders

Solid communication and documentation skills

General understanding of project management concepts (schedule, RFIs, submittals, change orders)

Experience working on long‑term, multi‑year projects

Experience on museum, higher education, or cultural institution projects

Prior work on State of Virginia or other public‑sector construction projects

Familiarity with historic buildings or high‑end architectural finishes

OSHA certification or similar safety training

Background working alongside PMs or CM‑at‑Risk teams
