One of New York City’s most recognized and respected personal injury law firms is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to provide critical support to our attorneys and clients throughout the litigation process.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing case files and evidence.
Review medical records and possess knowledge of the workings of the Unified Court System.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Manage and maintain document management systems; SmartAdvocate experience a plus.
Perform accurate data entry to update case information in databases.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel as needed.
Organize case materials and maintain orderly filing systems for easy retrieval of documents.
Support attorneys with trial preparation by assembling exhibits and preparing trial binders.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of litigation paralegal experience with a plaintiff firm (personal injury required).
Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Strong clerical and data entry skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with SmartAdvocate software preferred.
