Overview
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running by supporting AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure continual access to the services customers rely on. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and are looking for talented people to help.
Responsibilities
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with teams across AWS to deliver high safety and security standards while providing substantial capacity at the lowest possible cost for customers. As a Data Center Technician, you are a primary resolver for your support team and skilled at troubleshooting one or more operating systems. You troubleshoot and solve most infrastructure issues; complex issues are escalated to the appropriate resolver groups. You create and maintain documentation on technologies you support and convey SOPs to junior staff. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support and can make decisions independently while following directions when given, paying attention to all details involved.
You are able to execute small projects on your own and work with your manager to plan and execute larger local projects. You act as an escalation point for junior technicians and understand all aspects of the equipment you support.
Position may include rotating shifts (3, 4, or 5 day
ight weeks) and may change based on business needs. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time. This position will fill an opening at one of multiple separate sites. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

Basic Qualifications
2+ years of professional or military experience, or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent
2+ years of computer hardware experience, including troubleshooting and repairing experience
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of computer networking experience
Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers
Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)
Knowledge of IT system hardware and network concepts
