A well-established general contractor specializing in multifamily housing across California, is seeking a
Project Engineer
to join their team onsite in Hollywood, CA. This role offers hands‑on exposure to both field and project management operations, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow into a Project Manager position while contributing to a high‑impact multifamily build.
What You'll Do as the Project Engineer
Maintain and organize project documentation including drawings, contracts, and specifications
Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders to ensure timely processing and resolution
Track and update logs for project documentation and changes
Support the Superintendent and field team with subcontractor coordination and daily activities
Participate in site walks to monitor progress and proactively identify issues
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve field challenges
Attend project meetings, capture notes, and track follow-up items
Assist in monitoring project schedules, budgets, and overall execution
Must-Haves as the Project Engineer
3‑6+ years of construction experience, ideally in multifamily or similar large‑scale projects
Working knowledge of RFIs, submittals, and change order processes
Experience supporting ground‑up construction projects
Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office tools
Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Nice‑to‑Haves as the Project Engineer
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
Experience working on multifamily housing developments
Exposure to both field and office‑based project coordination
