12‑hour A Shift (United States of America)
Rotating 12‑hour Dayshift: 5:30 am – 6:00 pm, every other weekend off.
$19/hr to start.
Role Overview
The Production/Packaging Associate II applies moderate knowledge of proper packaging of materials and finished products. The position loads and moves material, operates packaging equipment, and follows Good Manufacturing Practices. This role is developmental toward a full‑fledged operator position.
Responsibilities
Demonstrates mastery of Production/Packaging Associate I skills and performs the following duties:
Safely and efficiently sort and separate dunnage.
Help new Production/Packaging Associates learn job tasks.
Complete drop tests on bottles and challenge quality with any issues.
Clear trimmer jams and restart line.
Quickly identify defects and alert quality and operators.
Keep count of production numbers and properly tag finished products.
Act in a team‑oriented manner and work well with others.
Start up blowmolder and perform basic quality checks with assistance.
Operate and understand automotive machinery (touchscreen – HMI).
Other duties as assigned by management.
Duties may differentiate by plant based on equipment and plant design.
Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
Qualifications
Intermediate mathematical skills required.
Intermediate computer experience.
One plus year of equivalent experience.
Six months experience as an Altium Production/Packaging Associate I.
Skills Required
Demonstrated proficiency in PPA Skills Level I and completion of PPA Skills Level II training:
Safe Work Practices Fundamentals.
Professional Standards – Appropriate Behavior / Managing Self.
Quality Inspect & Alert (Level I); Quality Confirm inspections (Level II).
Operate Pack (most common) and discard defects.
Operates all packing machinery, tags product, sync counts, and confirms truck loads.
Print tags.
Education
Prefer High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
Training
Completion of Altium Production/Packaging Associate II training.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment. The noise level is usually loud. Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
