Job Title: Journeyman Electrician (Critical Power)/ Electrical Field Service Technician (Critical Power)
Job Type: Full-Time
We are hiring an Electrical Field Service Technician
with hands‑on experience in critical power systems (switchgear, transformers, generators) supporting data center and industrial environments.
Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Field Service Engineers with a strong background in critical power systems and industrial electrical environments. This role requires hands‑on expertise in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical infrastructure across data centers and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical power systems
Work with high‑voltage electrical systems in industrial and data center environments
Interpret and work with Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and electrical schematics
Conduct equipment testing, commissioning, and load bank testing
Ensure compliance with NFPA safety standards and electrical codes
Support power distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, and generators
Utilize diagnostic tools for fault identification and resolution
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams for project execution
Required Experience & Background
Mid‑level experience (3–8 years preferred) in field service / electrical systems
Background as a Journeyman Electrician or equivalent
Experience in one or more of the following:
Field Service Technician
Electrical Commissioning Technician
Technical Skills
Switchgear, switchboards, panel boards
Remote Power Panels (RPP)
Air Circuit Breakers (ACB), MCCB, load‑break switches
Utility services and energy systems
Hands‑on Experience
High‑voltage systems
Troubleshooting and diagnostics
Critical power environments (mandatory)
N+1 redundancy systems, maintenance bypass
Tools & Equipment
Experience with:
Bus connectors, thermal imaging tools
Load banks and commissioning tools
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) systems
Nice to Have
Experience in data centers or mission‑critical environments
Familiarity with commissioning support and power system testing
