BCI Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Building Design Estimator to join our growing team and work in central Minnesota. Headquartered out of Sauk Rapids, MN. BCI specializes in Commercial, Medical, and Institutional Construction.

$70k annually and up, depending on experience
Bonus structure based on performance
Primary Duties
Review and analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work
Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier bids
Identify project risks, value-engineering opportunities, and cost-saving alternatives
Develop and maintain estimating databases, historical cost data, and pricing models
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and scope reviews
Assist in preparing bid proposals, budgets, and project schedules
Collaborate with project management teams during handoff and throughout construction
Track changes, scope revisions, and change order pricing as needed
Develop new areas for future expansion of customers and products as required

Ability to learn take-off software and Database programs
Knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration
Ability to develop and improve bidding skills in order to procure and manage own projects
Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction contracts, plans, blueprints, and specifications
Education, Training, and Other Requirements – Required
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years of Project Management Experience
Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, Business Management, or similar experience/skill set
Efficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Stack
Valid driver’s license
Education, Training, and Other Requirements – Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field
5+ years’ experience in a Commercial Construction role, with estimating experience
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM
