Location: 300 SECOND AVENUE, LONG BRANCH, NJ 07740 (Monmouth Medical Center)
Department: OB Support Center
Shift: Day
Pay Range: $55.81 - $72.95 per hour
Status: Per Diem
Overview
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated and experienced Lactation Consultant Per Diem for our Mother Baby Unit at Monmouth Medical Center.
Key Responsibilities
Provide lactation management services to expectant and new parents in an inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth setting.
Assist mothers with breastfeeding skills and work independently in an outpatient care area.
Collaborate with various patient care units and levels of care providers.
Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
Support language diversity (Bilingual English/Spanish preferred).
Qualifications
Current NJ RN License
AAS or BSN degree required
IBCLC lactation certification required
AHA BLS and AHA NRP required
At least 2 years of previous experience in maternal‑child health or NICU nursing
Preferred: 1 year of in‑hospital lactation consulting experience
Demonstrated ability to lead, organize, manage, and develop lactation programs and groups
