Flowers Foods, Inc. is a leading producer of packaged bakery goods in the United States. This role focuses on materials handling and ensuring product safety, legality, and quality in the plant.
Responsibilities
Responsible for ordering, receiving, inspecting and accounting for all material used in the plant. Also makes intercompany shipments when necessary.
Demonstrates competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality and/or quality.
Replenishes all required ingredients, wrapping and labeling supplies, and miscellaneous items.
Receives and inspects all incoming shipments for damaged or unsanitary merchandise and refuses or returns such items.
Properly stores and rotates production supplies.
Performs inventory of supplies on a weekly basis.
Arranges for intercompany shipment(s) of materials to other plants.
Completes daily/weekly administrative paperwork.
Ensures that work area is clean and organized and that items are kept in designated areas.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.).
Performs other duties as assigned by supervision and as deemed integral to the job, including adherence to schedules and attendance policies.
Preferred Qualifications
One or more years of experience in shipping/receiving operations.

High School diploma or equivalency
Salary
Salary Range: 47,000-54,000
