Overview
The job description includes covering the front desk by greeting guests, students, faculty and staff, answering the phone, assisting with a variety of administrative tasks such as making copies and scans, proofreading, creating documents and spreadsheets, delivering mail, keeping the kitchen and conference room clean, simple research projects for faculty, and maintaining inventories. Student Assistants may also run errands on campus, make deposits, and at times assist with event set up and/or clean up happening during your shift.
Responsibilities
Greet guests, students, faculty and staff at the front desk and answer the phone.
Assist with administrative tasks such as making copies and scans, proofreading, creating documents and spreadsheets.
Deliver mail and maintain inventories.
Keep the kitchen and conference room clean.
Assist with simple research projects for faculty.
Run errands on campus as needed.
Make deposits and assist with event setup and/or cleanup during shifts.
Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable greeting guests, operating the phone, and interacting with faculty, staff, students, and visitors.
Self-starter with ability to work independently at times.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Docs.
Compensation and Schedule
Compensation:
$15/hour
Hours:
20 hours per week
