We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Traveling Superintendent
to join the dynamic team of a top employee-owned design-build firm, specializing in the construction of
manufacturing, consumer goods
and
food & beverage processing facilities . This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality, technically complex projects across the country.
As a Traveling Superintendent, you will be the on-site leader responsible for managing all field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You\'ll work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to bring innovative, mission-critical facilities to life.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily on-site construction activities from groundbreaking to closeout.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
Maintain project schedules and proactively resolve issues to avoid delays.
Conduct regular site meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Manage site logistics, inspections, and documentation.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
Proven track record with
cold storage ,
refrigerated warehouses , or
food & beverage processing facilities
is preferred, but tilt-wall warehouses as a minimum.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety protocols, and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
Ability to travel extensively and stay on-site for the duration of projects.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
