Job Summary
Designs by Sundown is seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of high‑end residential landscape projects. This role is responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently, coordinating field teams and subcontractors, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the construction process. The Project Manager represents Designs by Sundown on site and ensures all work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest industry standards. Prior landscape installation construction experience is required.

Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight & Leadership

Manage an annual book of business of approximately $3M+

Directly oversee 3–4 Foremen and/or 2–6 active projects

Spend approximately 75% of time in the field and 25% in the office

Uphold company culture, quality standards, and client experience

Pre‑Construction & Planning

Partner with Estimators/Designers during estimating and site evaluations

Review contracts, plans, estimates, and scope prior to project kickoff

Lead or participate in pre‑job meetings to finalize schedules, permits, and logistics

Develop and manage project schedules; communicate updates as needed

Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors

Verify deposits are received prior to starting any work

Construction Phase

Maintain proactive, professional communication with clients and landscape architects

Conduct site visits a minimum of three times per week

Support foremen with scheduling, logistics, and on‑site coordination

Manage inspections, utility locations, and compliance requirements

Oversee document control including change orders, billing, job costing, timecards, and approvals

Track production, costs, and percent complete; provide weekly reporting

Project Closeout & Warranty

Conduct quality walk‑throughs and develop punch lists

Lead final client walk‑throughs to confirm satisfaction

Compile complete project close‑out documentation, including as‑built, warranties, and maintenance information

Coordinate turnover to maintenance and manage warranty follow‑ups

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field

Landscape construction installation experience required

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, estimating, and job costing

Ability to interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications

Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards

Skills & Attributes

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Professional, client‑focused demeanor

Confident decision‑maker with strong interpersonal skills

Experience working with high‑end residential clientele (preferred)

Bilingual (English/Spanish) (preferred)

Position Range
$80,000 - $110,000
