Description
NSI requires a Journeyman Cost Analyst to support the Cost Analysis and Estimating Directorate program office. The Cost Analyst will operate as part of an integrated product team working closely with engineers and logisticians to formulate a system cost estimate to be used in developing, acquiring, and supporting affordable Naval Aviation Systems. Applies diversified knowledge of weapons systems cost estimating principles and practices in areas of assignments. The analyst shall have an understanding of technical baseline, technical judgment, translation of technical and financial risk into cost including risk application to provide estimate confidence, budgeting, planning, programming, budgeting systems, the acquisition process, and logistics support processes. Work requires the modification and extension of existing methodologies and may require the use of advanced techniques. Expected to work independently or function in a team lead role providing technical guidance or consults with mid & junior level analysts.
Location
Pax River, MD/Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Operations Research, Cost Analysis, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
Experience
3-7 years of cost estimating experience or IPM experience including a minimum of two (2) years cost estimating experience in DoD Acquisition Weapon System Cost estimating.
