
Family Office Controller

We are a privately operated family office overseeing a long-term global portfolio of operating companies, trusts, and evergreen investment holding structures across the U.S. and India. Our office manages entities with a focus on long-term stewardship, disciplined record keeping, and thoughtful financial oversight.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Controller to take full ownership of the accounting function across our portfolio. You will be the financial backbone of the office; responsible for the integrity of our records, the reliability of our reporting, and the soundness of our internal controls. This role carries real autonomy and long-term ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Own the full accounting function across holding companies, trusts, SPVs, and operating companies
Lead month-end and year-end close; prepare and review financial statements and management reports for principals
Manage intercompany transactions, accounts payable, expense tracking, and payment processing
Oversee cash management across all entities
Design and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and audit-ready records
Coordinate with external CPAs and tax advisors on filings, audits, and compliance
Drive adoption of AI and technology to improve accuracy and reduce manual effort
Serve as the primary financial contact
Qualifications
10+ years of accounting experience, with demonstrated ownership of a full accounting function
Experience working withmultiple entities, investment structures, or trusts strongly preferred
Strong proficiency inQuickBooks or comparable accounting systems
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Excellent communication and organizational skills
High degree of discretion, professional judgment, and personal integrity
Comfort with/willingness to learn AI

Full-time position
Hybrid schedule with regular in-office presence
Candidates located nearby with reliable transportation preferred
Compensation
$100,000–$110,000 compensation package, dependent on experience
