Job Responsibilities
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage areas and the walk‑in cooler.
Prepare products, receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Participate in orientation and on‑the‑job training.
Communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Understand written instructions and give correct written instructions.
Accurately perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using a calculator when necessary.
Make correct monetary change.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Perform motor‑coordination tasks requiring precise, rapid, and accurate movements.
Essential Functions / Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately (may use a calculator).
Must be able to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid, accurate, precise movements.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work under stress, meet strict quality‑control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.
Physical Requirements
Most tasks are performed from a standing position. Cold and hot surfaces, cramped quarters, and exposure to food odors, corn‑meal dust, and fumes are common. Tasks include:
Standing for long periods and walking on ceramic tile or linoleum.
Lifting and carrying up to 50 lb. (e.g., cases of ingredients, sauce, pizza dough trays).
Pushing trays on dollies (up to 7.5 lb. force) and pulling trays.
Climbing stairs or ladders occasionally.
Stooping, bending, and crouching/squatting to stock shelves or clean low areas.
Reaching above the waist, up to 7 ft. high when turning oven controls or handling stock.
Frequent use of hands for eye‑hand coordination tasks such as shaping dough, using a pizza cutter or peel, and assembling cardboard boxes.
Work Conditions
In‑store temperatures range from 36 °F in the cooler to 90 °F and above in work areas. Sudden temperature changes, short‑duration walks, exposure to fumes, dust, hot surfaces (up to 500 °F), and sharp edges or moving mechanical parts are part of the environment.
Qualifications
Must be 16 years of age or older.
Proficient in basic math and handling money accurately.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lb., stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, and climbing.
Capacity to work under stress and maintain strict quality controls.
