Job Description
The law firm Maier Gutierrez & Associates is currently looking for a litigation paralegal with a focus in personal injury law. The ideal candidate will support multiple attorneys and provide outstanding service to our clients. Please send your resume to Firm Administrator Charity Johnson.
Responsibilities
Manage case deadlines
Prepare legal documents such as complaints, answers, discovery documents and motions, as well as mediation and arbitration briefs
Daily client contact and communication
Communicating with courts and opposing counsel as needed
Ensure all necessary documentation for trials and evidentiary hearings is obtained and organized
Preferred knowledge
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Outlook
Prior experience with case management software such as Smart Advocate or similar
Experience with e-filing in all federal, state and local courts
Prepare, compose and assemble documentation into proper legal format
Preferred skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work well independently as well as with a team
Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
Time management in a deadline driven environment
Strong analytical skills
