Job Description
We are a busy and growing law firm seeking a motivated, detail-oriented paralegal to join our team. Our practice covers residential and commercial real estate closings, personal injury, and elder law. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing a varied caseload across multiple practice areas. This is a hands‑on role with direct client contact and meaningful responsibility from day one. We are specifically looking for a paralegal with some experience to assist with our Personal Injury and Elder Law/Probate Files.
Personal injury
Gather and organize medical records, bills, police reports, and other case materials
Draft demand letters, correspondence, and pleadings under attorney supervision
Maintain client contact and provide case status updates
Assist with discovery, deposition preparation, and pre‑trial tasks
Track litigation deadlines and statute of limitations dates
Elder law
Assist in drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives
Prepare Medicaid planning documents and assist with applications
Support guardianship and conservatorship proceedings
Maintain compassionate, clear communication with elderly clients and their families
Coordinate with government agencies and care facilities as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or a related field; ABA‑approved paralegal certificate preferred
2+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience (experience in any of our practice areas is a plus)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with legal practice management software and Microsoft Office
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive client matters
Notary Public commission or willingness to obtain one preferred
