The
IR Neuro Radiology Technologist
is responsible for supporting
neuro-interventional radiology procedures
in a high-acuity hospital environment.
This role involves assisting physicians during complex neuro procedures, operating advanced imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety and high-quality diagnostic imaging.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Procedures
Assist in neuro interventional radiology procedures
Prepare and position patients for imaging and procedures
Support radiologists during fluoroscopic and IR procedures
Equipment & Imaging
Operate X-ray, CR, and DR imaging systems
Ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging
Troubleshoot and report equipment issues
Patient Care & Safety
Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
Administer oral contrast as needed
Follow patient rights and safety protocols
Team Collaboration
Work closely with radiologists, nurses, and IR team
Support department workflow and assist team members
Demonstrate professionalism and accountability
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate procedure documentation
Follow hospital and regulatory standards
Ensure medication and equipment compliance
Must-Have Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of Radiology / IR experience
Neurosurgery / Neuroscience experience (Required)
Active New York State License (Required)
BLS Certification (AHA - Required)
Strong experience in imaging and radiologic procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Interventional Radiology experience (Preferred)
Experience in Neuro IR procedures
Experience in high-acuity hospital environments
