Associate Patient Care Technician - MedSurg - PT Day

Responsibilities
Under general supervision by the RN, the Patient Care Tech is responsible for providing basic nursing care for in-patients and out-patients as needed within their specified area(s). The role includes collecting and reporting information to the supervising RN and completing all patient care related documentation. Patient Care Techs are assigned to specific units: Cardiopulmonary – basic respiratory, cardiology, nursing care; Medical/Surgical/Oncology – basic respiratory, nursing care, and orthopedic device assistance; Resource Float Pool – basic respiratory and nursing care.
Required Qualifications
Completion of a CNA program, or
Completion of first semester of a nursing program, or
National Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association upon hire.
Experience with basic data entry.
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework or training in EKG.
1 year of acute patient care experience, or
6 months experience in a direct patient care environment.

Pay Range: $24.00 - $29.57 (base salary; additional compensation such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities may apply)
