
Supervisor, Residential Care Specialist - Evenings

Position Summary
The RCS Supervisor performs routine residential care duties and selected non‑professional services under the supervision of the Director of Residential Services, Program Manager. Duties include providing a safe and therapeutic environment while caring for children and adolescents, observing resident behavior, reporting to clinical staff, assisting with daily living activities, encouraging independence, and assisting with admissions, discharges, transfers, and the implementation of individualized care plans.
Duties and Responsibilities
Follows instructions given by Program Director as outlined in policies and procedures.
Provides care to child/adolescent (9‑18) in a manner that considers safety, residents’ rights, comfort, level of development, and the therapeutic environment.
Assists with admission, discharge, and transfer of residents.
Assists with resident trips outside the center, transporting residents in the hospital van as needed.

Qualifications
High school diploma required.
Associate degree in health care field or two years of college experience preferred.
At least 18 months’ experience in an RCS role or a position equivalent to an RCS role, required.
Experience dealing with emotionally impaired individuals preferred.
Experience treating impulse disorder population preferred (on Impulse Disorder Unit).
Satisfactory motor vehicle operation report preferred.
