Accounting Coordinator (Temporary – AP/Data Entry)
On-site (M-F) | Herndon, VA
Contract (3–6 months, potential to extend)
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Specialist to support a growing accounting team with a focus on accounts payable and data entry. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior‑level candidate looking to gain hands‑on experience, develop their skills, and work in a collaborative, team‑driven environment.
Responsibilities
Process high‑volume accounts payable (AP) transactions
Perform accurate and timely data entry into accounting systems
Assist with invoice coding, matching, and reconciliations
Support day‑to‑day accounting operations and administrative tasks
Collaborate closely with team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Qualifications
1–3 years of accounting or AP experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to work on‑site daily and collaborate with a team
Experience with accounting software such as:
ProContractor MX (Trimble)
Procore (preferred, not required)
Construction industry experience is a plus
