Senior Staff Accountant
Position Summary: Full‑time salaried position onsite at our Manassas, VA location. The Senior Staff Accountant will support day‑to‑day activities of the Finance Department, performing highly sensitive and confidential accounting duties.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities
Own complex journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications
Perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations
Analyze variances versus budget, forecast, and prior periods
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
Assist with preparation of internal financial statements and management reports
Support external financial reporting requirements
Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audits
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma, required
Bachelors degree in Accounting, MBA or CPA, preferred
Minimum five years of relevant accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word)
ERP proficiency – bonus if experience with Sage
Ability to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0–15 pounds
