Field Commercial Lines Underwriter – Kansas City, MO
Top regional carrier is looking for a Multi-line Commercial Field Underwriter to work with agency partners in the Kansas City metro area. This is a client-facing underwriting role and looking for someone who thrives on building agency partnerships, getting in front of people, and making smart underwriting decisions to build a profitable book of business.
Actively manage a book of multi-line commercial accounts, including, general liability, commercial auto, property, workers' compensation, agriculture, etc., in the Kansas City, MO territory through regular agency visits, reviewing underwriting guidelines, and supporting the agency for quality submissions.
Evaluate new and renewal submissions by analyzing exposures, loss history, financials, and industry risk factors to determine accurate pricing, terms, and conditions.
Build and maintain strong relationships, identify new business opportunities, and collaborate with agents to expand written premium.
Bring high energy, a competitive drive, and a consultative approach to every agent interaction.
Remote / Field role based in the greater Kansas City, MO area. Degree or insurance designations preferred with 5+ years of multi-line commercial underwriting experience.
