Analyst, Commercial Insights - Services

PlayStation, a global leader in entertainment, is seeking an innovative, detail-oriented, highly motivated Analyst to join the Services team within the Global Sales and Business Operations organization.

Role Overview
This Analyst will support the Services Insights team with commercial planning, analytics operational excellence, and strategic decision-making for the PlayStation Plus subscription business. Responsibilities include creating data reporting tools, developing forecasting methodologies, delivering analytical insights on offers & promotions, pricing and experience optimizations, and influencing decisions that affect PlayStation Plus member experience. Strong communication skills are essential for collaboration with stakeholders across a global organization.

What you will be doing

Support the Services Insights team with analysis of commercial and engagement trends across the PlayStation Plus user base.

Work across Commercial, Engagement & Experience, and CRO teams to explore subscription data and uncover novel insights.

Create recursive frameworks for long‑term monitoring of business initiatives, identifying opportunities for growth, and reducing reporting cycle time.

Partner with Engineering and Reporting teams to democratise insights into actionable outputs.

Support optimisation efforts through experimentation and A/B testing.

Collaborate closely with stakeholders within GSBO and other supporting teams to deliver business insights using data.

Work with data teams across SIE to understand and utilise tools and resources while contributing learnings and expertise.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative or computational field or equivalent.

5+ years of experience in analytics‑related roles.

Proficient at translating ambiguous business requirements into actionable insights from start to finish.

Skilled with SQL, Python, and spreadsheet applications (Excel, Google Sheets).

Knowledge of statistical concepts, subscription metrics, and A/B testing.

Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality analytical work.

Proven experience creating data visualizations and reports that surface actionable insights.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across teams and levels.

Strong project management, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Adaptability in a dynamic, fast‑paced business environment.

Flexibility to work varying hours to support global operations.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong technical proficiencies with SQL, Python, and Airflow.

Experience with visualization tools such as Domo, Power BI, or Tableau.

Interest in the gaming industry and knowledge of the digital gaming landscape.

Prior experience with subscription‑based businesses.

Salary
Estimated base pay range: $136,300 – $204,500 USD.
