
Accounting Supervisor

Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with applicable funding, regulatory, and organizational policies
Support program leadership with annual budget development and forecasting
Prepare budget proposals and support responses to funding opportunities, as needed
Perform monthly budget-to-actual analysis and monitor financial performance
Track spending and provide guidance to program and finance leadership
Prepare and submit periodic billings and financial reports
Process budget modifications and amendments, as required
Develop ad hoc financial analyses and reports for internal and external stakeholders
Supervise and support junior accounting or contract staff
Prepare supporting schedules for month-end close, audits, and financial reviews
Prepare and post general ledger journal entries
Respond to inquiries and information requests from funders and internal teams
Maintain accurate, audit-ready financial records and reconciliations
Reconcile billing activity to the general ledger and maintain tracking tools
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA or advanced certification preferred but not required
3-5 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience, preferably in a contract-based or regulated environment
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with accounting and financial reporting systems preferred
Familiarity with audit and compliance requirements a plus
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
