Maintenance Technician – Elyria, Ohio
Dura-Line, an Orbia Business, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing process with a primary focus on the extrusion department. The role requires mechanical and electrical maintenance skills.
Schedule
Shift: 6 am to 6 pm, 2-2-3 Rotation.
Responsibilities
Maintain resin systems, vacuum loaders, handle filter cleaning, and make necessary repairs.
Maintain support equipment such as tape feeders, spiral units, extruders, vacuum tanks, pullers, reelers, air and water systems.
Assist all departments during equipment breakdowns.
Perform tooling changes for the extrusion department as required by order changes.
Use a volt meter to check and replace fuses, motor starters, relays, pumps, motors, and troubleshoot faulty electric circuits.
Assist the general maintenance crew in equipment rebuilds, plant shutdowns, and new equipment installations.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all safety requirements for the position.
Perform any other duties as directed by management.
Requirements
Minimum of two years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
Ability to perform basic math and take measurements using appropriate tools.
Capability to read and comprehend work instructions and safety documents.
Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of power transmission equipment, bearings, gears, sprockets, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and pumps.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools including wrenches, torches, volt meters, drill press, and band saw.
Electrical ability preferred.
Familiarity with plumbing.
Knowledge of state and local safety codes.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive starting hourly wage: $25.00 per hour.
