We are looking for a Permits Coordinator to join our Utility and Permits Services team in Las Vegas.
As a Permit Coordinator, you will collaborate with a small tight‑knit team, take ownership of your projects, and help bring major developments to life. This role offers growth and the chance to impact key aspects of the development process.

Division: Design & Construction
Position Code: EXEMPT
Supervises: Permits and Utility Coordination
Reports To: Executive Vice President and other project staff as assigned
Experience
One or more years of experience in the field or related area. Work experience in design, construction, and/or with a regulatory agency regarding utilities and/or building permits is preferred.
Education
High School or equivalent. Associates or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Administration, or a related field is desired. A combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of a degree.
Skills
Intermediate knowledge of Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
Basic knowledge of Prolog or other project management software
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Suretrack, and Microsoft Project desired
Experience with online submission platforms for permitting and authorities having jurisdiction desired
Certificate / License
OSHA 10‑hour certification required (must obtain within 3 months of hire).
Essential Job Duties
Review, analyze, and submit submission packages to various authorities, including drawings, applications, waivers, payments, corrections, contracts, and other required information.
Report status, ongoing communication, problems, and discrepancies with submissions, applications, contracts, and reports to supervisor, client, and project team.
Provide direction and recommendations to internal staff, client, and project team or proper procedures and requirements related to submission requirements of authorities.
Maintain detailed records of correspondence with authorities, client, and the project team.
Maintain communication with clients, authorities, and project team members daily or as needed.
Produce weekly and monthly reports detailing status of submission documents with authorities.
Maintain internal time sheet of worked hours for duties performed and coordinate with internal staff on billing clarifications and submissions.
Assist supervisor and supported staff with review of documents for accuracy and completeness prior to submission.
Coordinate and attend meetings with authorities as required.
Conduct meetings on behalf of the client and project team with authorities.
Prepare schedules and budget estimate forecasts for fees associated with submission requirements.
Assist supervisor or other support staff with administrative duties as assigned.
OSHA / Safety
Monitor health, safety, and welfare of everyone on job site and enforce compliance with safety plans and regulations.
Ensure relevant sections of the health and safety management plan are implemented and understood.
Conduct accident/incident investigations and take corrective action as required.
Other Job Duties
Ensure all Grand Canyon Development Partners core values are implemented and applied.
Maintain daily communication with supervisor on progress.
Assist in maintaining accurate budgets and activity reports for supervisor.
Monitor schedule of areas of responsibility and participate in schedule meetings.
Promote positive relations with internal staff, client, project team, and authorities.
Maintain knowledge of industry through continuing education and training.
Apply working knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, building materials, and codes.
Represent the company with a positive attitude internally and externally.
