Job Description
Vanderlande is seeking a motivated and analytical
Supply Chain Continuous Improvement Intern
to support our North America Supply Chain organization. This internship provides hands‑on experience working on real operational improvement initiatives while collaborating with cross‑functional teams across Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and Project Management. The intern will support process analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and data‑driven decision‑making efforts that help improve efficiency, quality, and performance across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze current supply chain processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles and structured problem‑solving methods
Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to gather data, document processes, and develop insights
Assist with planning, tracking, and execution of improvement projects from initiation through implementation
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure improvement impact
Create process documentation, standard work, and improvement recommendations
Prepare presentations and summaries for project teams and leadership
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in
Supply Chain Management
Operations Management
Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
Computer Science
Business or a related field
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
Experience with data analysis or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
Coursework or project experience related to process improvement or operations analytics
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Additional Information
Internship Type: Paid Internship
Duration: Summer internship (with potential for extension based on business needs)
Work Schedule: 20–40 hours per week
