Overview
Operations and farm truck support – duties include operating trucks, mixing chemicals, fuel delivery for farm operations and providing support for spray operations. You must have experience with farm water trucks or other machinery, repair equipment, follow detailed instructions from a lead/supervisor without close supervision, and work with teams on special projects as required.
Responsibilities
Operate trucks to support spray operation requirements.
Transport water to areas of operation to fill spray tanks.
Mix chemicals to support spray operation requirements.
Fuel delivery to support field operations and irrigation equipment.
Properly record deliveries and transportation.
Set up and attach equipment as required.
Monitor vehicle performance, fluid levels and mechanical fitness of equipment on a daily basis.
Perform field-level routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
Drive, operate, and adjust farming equipment in accordance with safe operating procedures.
Perform other tasks as required by the business.
Qualifications
Valid Driver’s License.
Experience operating water truck or large farm equipment safely.
Ability to lift and handle chemical bags up to 50 pounds.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Operate equipment: release brake, shift gears, depress pedals, manipulate steering controls, read gauges.
Work outdoors in hot and cold conditions.
Will be required to work weekends depending on business needs.
18 years of age or older.
