Job Description
Maintenance TechnicianIII performs a variety of tasks and assignments including the maintenance and repair of production equipment and facility infrastructure. A key focus will be on equipment reliability, safety, troubleshooting, and process improvement projects.
In this role you will
Repair blowers, vacuum pumps, augers, gas furnaces, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Troubleshoot electrical components such as contactors, switches, relays, and controllers
Walk the production line daily and look for abnormalities in the equipment
Troubleshoot production issues with support from the maintenance team and/or engineering
Will support the installation of new equipment, retrofitting of old equipment, and facility capital projects to help improve the manufacturing process
Educate operators to improve day-to-day machine operations and update documents if needed
Order parts and build materials list to complete upcoming projects
Work as a team or independently as the tasks require
Maintain an organized and safe work area. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment. Safely perform duties and observe approved safety procedures.
Be exposed to outdoor working conditions, and dusty or dirty environments
Occasionally be on-call for a full week, including weekends and nights as part of the team rotation
Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals
Traits we believe will make a strong candidate
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Tech
Experience working on large industrial equipment like high-temperature furnaces, rotary piston vacuum pumps, powder transfer systems, etc.
Electrical component knowledge to troubleshoot motor starters, relays, pressure switches, temp controllers, etc.
Ability to read P&IDs, wiring schematics, and engineering drawings
Basic welding knowledge preferred.
Candidate must be a permanent resident of the U.S. to comply with export control laws
Willing to adapt to changing responsibilities based on production priorities
Able to identify areas to improve or create PM procedures to reduce equipment failures
Experience in working in an ISO 9001/14001/45001 and AS9100 environment is a plus.
Able to climb stairs and ladders, and safely lift 50 lbs
Able to pass pre-employment physical.
Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws.
Some Flexibility in working schedule due to projects, breakdown situations, etc.
