Position Summary
The responsibilities of Garden and Grounds Assistants involve gardening and maintenance activities such as planting, weeding, mowing, and pruning. Assistants work alongside Garden Curators and Grounds Staff in maintaining formal gardens, trails, and natural areas gaining valuable hands‑on experience.
Duties / Responsibilities
Gardening and maintenance activities such as planting, weeding, mowing, and pruning to maintain formal gardens, trails, and natural areas.
Relevant / Preferred Education, Experience
Gardening and maintenance experience.
Physical Demands
Working outside during adverse weather conditions. Strenuous physical activity including but not limited to mulching, weeding, raking, digging, and planting.
Background Investigation Policy
